Monday, January 2, 1860.

Session met to see their business finished and adjourned. Closed with prayer.

(These two Ladies were baptized in the Church on the next day).

Olive Church, Friday, April 6th, 1860.

Session met at the call of the Moderator.

Present were Rev. M. R. Miller, Moderator, with Samuel Aikin, E. W. Daniel, Joseph A. Marquis and David C. Aikin, elders.

Mrs. Mary Burlingame appeared before the Session for admission into the Church and upon examination was unanimously recieved into full membership.

The committee on the unfavorable report concerning Miss Jolly reported that they had conversed with her, that she had acknowledged her fault and promised reformation. The report was considered satisfactory and the committee was discharged.

Session took a recess until after public worship to-morrow.

Saturday, April 7th, 1860.

Session convened. Members present were as of yesterday.

Mrs. Mary Collins was recieved into the communion of the Church upon examination.

Session took a recess until to-night after worship.

Session accordingly met at night after public worship. Mr. George Gin applied for the privileges of the Church, was examined and recieved into full membership with the expectation of his being baptized the next Lord's Day.

Session took a recess until after public worship on Monday.

Monday, April 9th, 1860.

Session convened with all the members present. The Clerk was directed to give certificates of membership to Mrs. Mary J. Moore and Mrs. Elizabeth Walters, the former to connect herself with the Buffalo Presbyterian Church, the latter to connect herself with the ------

Olive Church, Monday, Aug. 6th, 1860.

Session convened at the call of the Moderator.

Present were Rev. M. R. Miller, Moderator, Samuel Aikin, E. W. Daniels and Joseph A. Marquis, Elders.

It being the object of this meeting to consider the charge of common fame against the character of Miss Sarah Y. Moore. Elder Samuel Aikin was appointed a committee to visit her, lay the matter before her and appoint a time and place for the meeting of the Session with her.

Session adjourned, thus leaving it with Mr. Aikin to make the appointment of the next meeting. Closed with prayer. M. R. Miller, Clerk.

Saturday, August 11th, 1860.

Session convened according to adjournment.

Present were Rev. M. R. Miller, Moderator, Joseph A. Marquis, and Samuel Aikin, elders. Meeting held at the home of Miss S. Y. Moore. Opened with prayer.

A conversation was held with Miss Moore. She confessed the sin of fornication and manifested sorrow. She manifested such a disposition to justify herself in various circumstances and so much carelessness in regard to the Church that the Session did not feel prepared to decide on her sentence. Session adjourned until August 17th at ten o'clock a. m. The meeting to be in the Church. Closed with prayer. M. R. Miller, Clerk.

August 17th, 1860.

Session convened according to adjournment and was opened with prayer.

Present were Rev. M. R. Miller, Moderator, Samuel Aikin, Joseph A. Marquis and D. C. Aikin, elders.

The case of Miss Sarah Y. Moore was further considered and it was resolved to suspend her from her standing as a member of the Church until the Session obtain more satisfactory evidence of repentence.

Saturday, August 18th, 1860.

Session met and opened with prayer.

Member present were M. R. Miller, Moderator, S. Aikin and E. W. Daniel.

Mrs. _______ Miller was recieved into the full communion of the Church on examination. Session took a recess until Monday, August 20th.

Monday, August 20th, 1860.

Session met and opened with prayer.

Members present were Rev. M. R. Miller, Moderator, E. W. Daniels, S. Aikin and D. C. Aikin, elders.

Recieved upon examination, Mr. James Miller and Miss Susan Orr.

Session closed with prayer. M. R. Miller, Clerk.

Moderator M. R. Miller resigned as Clerk of the Session and Elder David C. Aikin was elected in his place. M. R. Miller, Clerk.

Olive Church, Friday, March 22, 1861.

Session met and was opened with prayer by the Moderator.

Members present were Rev. Watson Russell, Moderator, Elders E. W. Daniels, S. Aikin and D. C. Aikin.

Mr. J. P. Gill who had formerly been a member of this Church and who was suspended, appeared before the Session and they being satisfied with his acknowledgement, restored him to the full communion of this Church.

Session took a recess entil to-morrow.

Saturday March 23, 1861.

Session met. There being no business took a recess until Monday.

Monday March 25, 1861.

Session met. There being no business was closed with prayer.

Session met and was opened with prayer.

Members present were Watson Russell, Moderator, Samuel Aikin, David C. Aikin, elders.

Miss Sarah Cane was recieved on examination, to the communion of the Church.

Session took a recess until Sabbath, when it again convened.

Members present were Watson Russell, Moderator, Samuel Aikin and D. C. Aikin, Elders.

Miss Sarah E. Culberson was recieved on examination.

Session again took a recess until Monday, when it again met.

Members present were Watson Russell, Moderator, Samuel Aikin, Joseph A. Marquis, elders.

A note was read from David C. Aikin in which he resigned the office of Clerk of the Session. His resignation was accepted and Watson Russell was elected in his place. Closed with prayer. Watson Russell, Clerk.

Monday August 5th, 1861.

Session met and was opened with prayer. Members present were Watson Russell, Moderator, Samuel Aikin, E. W. Daniels and Joseph Marquis, elders.

Mr. Daniels being guilty of violating his vows and the rules of our Church by opening his house for a dance, he was spoken to on the subject but unstead of showing signs of repentance, tried to justify his course and branded all as unreasonable who would not approve of what he had done. No other business being before the Session, adjourned.

Monday August 12, 1861.

Session met. Opened with prayer.

Members present were Watson Russell, Moderator, Samuel Aikin, Joseph Marquis, elders.

On motion it was resolved to cite E. W. Daniels to appear before Session on Saturday, August 24th to answer the charge of unchristian conduct. W. Russell and J. Marquis were appointed a committee to converse with several persons who had attended balls. Mr. S. Aikin consented to see and talk with one who had commited the same offence.

Note. On the 23rd, E. W. Daniels gave notice that he could not meet Session on the 24th, therefore we did not meet as there was no other business to be done.

Nov. 9th, 1861.

Session met and was opened with prayer.

Members present were W. Russell, Moderator, Samuel Aikin, Joseph A. Marquis, elders.

Miss Margaret Moore was recieved by letter from the 2nd Presbyterian Church at Steubenville, Ohio.

The following paper was then presented by E. W. Daniels.

"On the 4th of July, 1861, in the town of Caldwell, in the public house over which I have control in part, we permitted the citizens of Caldwell and vicinity to engage in a pastime which is not consistent with the rules of our Church, and which has given dissatisfaction to the Church and caused much unhappiness in my own mind, I acknowledge my wrong and ask the prayers of all God's people that I may be kept from all sin in future and hope they will forgive my past wrong". E. W. Daniels.

Nov. 9th, 1861. The above being regarded as satisfactory, Mr. Daniels was retained in his former standing. Closed with prayer. Watson Russell, Moderator.

December 29, 1861.

Session met and was opened with prayer. Members present were Joseph Marquis, E. W. Daniels and Samuel Aikin, Elders and W. Russell, Moderator.

Samuel E. Jones was recieved on examination. Closed with prayer.

May 17, 1862.

Session met and was opened by prayer. Members present were Joseph Marquis and Samuel Aikin, elders and Watson Russell, Moderator.

Mrs. Mary Scriber was recieved on examination into the communion of the Church.

October 5th, 1862.

Session met and was opened with prayer. Members present were Samuel Aikin, elder and Watson Russell, Moderator.

William Miller was examined on experimental religion. Session then took a recess of a few minutes and went from the Pastor's house to the Church where Joseph Marquis, Elder, took his seat. The said William Miller was recieved into the communion of the Church and Baptized. Closed by prayer.

March 28th, 1863.

Session met and was opened with prayer.

Members present were Watson Russell, Moderator, Samuel Aikin, Joseph Marquis and Easton Daniels.

Samuel McGary and Martha McGary, his wife, Martha Ann Phipps, Lucretia E. Phipps, after the usual examination were admitted to the communion of the Church.

Miss Margaret Aikin was recieved by letter from the Church of Beach Spring.

Closed with prayer. Watson Russell, Clerk.

Examined and approved at Washington, Apr. 16th, 1863. John Kelly, Moderator.

Olive Church, Feb. 20th, 1864.

Session met and was opened with prayer.

Members present were Rev. Samuel Mehaffey, Moderator, J. A. Marquis, E. W. Daniels and S. Aikin, Elders.

Miss Margaret M. Hopper was recieved into full communion of the Church on profession of her faith in Christ.

Not being Baptised, the ordinance of Baptism was administered to her.

Took recess until to-morrow morning. No business for consideration of Session.

Took recess until Monday morning at which time Miss Serene Daniel was recieved by examination into full communion of the Church.

Closed with prayer. Samuel Aikin, Clerk of the Session.

At the above meeting Samuel Aikin was elected Clerk of the Session of Olive Church.

July 1st, 1864.

Session met and was opened with prayer.

Members present were Rev. S. Mahaffey, Moderator, J. A. Marquis, E. W. Daniels, and S. Aikin, elders.

Miss Joanna Kain, Wm. Sparrowgrove were recieved into full communion of the Church on profession of their faith in Christ.

Took recess until to-morrow after sermon. Members present as of yesterday.

Recieved on examination John Wallace, Mrs. Wallace, Martha Wily and John Sparrowgrove. Recieved by letter Isaac Kyser and Marie Kyser.

Sacrament of the Lords Supper was administered by Rev. Mehaffey.

Closed with prayer. Samuel Aikin, Clerk of the Session.

Olive Church, Saturday Nov. 26, 1864.

Session met and was opened with prayer.

Members present were Rev. S. Mahaffey, Moderator, Joseph A. Marquis, and S. Aikin, Elders.

Recieved on examination into full communion in this Church, Mrs. Sarah Wiley. By letter, Mrs. Hannah Nichols.

Sacrament of the Lord's Supper was administered by Rev. S. Mehaffey.

Closed with prayer. S. Aikin, Clerk of the Session.

May 10, 1865.

Session met and was opened with prayer.

Members present were Rev. S. Mehaffey, Moderator, J. A. Marquis and S. Aikin, Elders.

No business before Session. Recess until to-morrow morning.

Session met and was opened with prayer.

Members present were Rev. S. Mehaffey, Moderator, J. A. Marquis, E. W. Daniels and S. Aikin.

Recieved by letter from the Church of McConnelsville, Cyrus McGlashan. From the Church of Buffalo, John Morrison and Rebecca Morrison. From the U. P. Church of Robeson Run, Pennsylvania Mrs. Elisa Stuart. The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper was administered. No further business. Closed with prayer.

Nov. 10, 1865.

Olive Church, March 31st, 1866.

Session met and was opened with prayer.

Members present were Rev. S. Mahaffey, Moderator, E. W. Daniels, J. A. Marquis and S. Aikin, Elders.

No business before Session. Took recess until after service to-night.

Members present as in the morning with the exception of E. W. Daniels, at which time Mrs. Maggie Marquis and Jerusha J. Marquis appeared, were examined on profession of faith in Christ and were recieved into the full communion of the Church.

Maggie Marquis, not being baptized, the ordinance of Baptism was administered to her on the Sabbath. Session took recess until Monday.

Members present were Rev. S. Mahaffey, Moderator, J. A. Marquis, E. W. Daniels and S. Aikin, Elders. At this time Mrs. L. J. Greer presented her certificate from the Church of Wegee (?) and was recieved into the full communion of the Church. No further business. Session adjourned and was closed with prayer.

June 2nd, 1866.

Session met in the Church in Sharon. Members present as on the previous day. No further business, took recess until Monday June 3rd.

Sabbath, Sacrament of the Lord's Supper was dispensed in Caldwell in the morning, also in the Church if Sharon in the afternoon. Service on Monday. Rev. Baker assisted. Closed with prayer. S. Aikin, Clerk.

Session met and was opened by prayer.

Members present were Rev. S. Mahaffey, Moderator, E. W. Daniels, J. A. Marquis and S. Aikin, Elders.

Recieved on profession of their faith in Christ into full communion of the Church, Mr. Benjamine Chadwick and Mrs. Ruth Chadwick. Closed with prayer.

Communion was administered, assisted by Rev. C. Pringle. Closed with prayer.

Session met and was constituted by prayer.

Members present were Rev. S. Mahaffey, Moderator, E. W. Daniels, J. A. Marquis, and Samuel Aikin, Elders.

Recieved into full communion with the Church on profession of faith, G. C. McGlashan and Mattie J. McGlashan. Session took a recess until Friday evening.

Members present as above. No business, recessed until Saturday after service.

Mrs. McGlashan, not being baptized, the ordinance of Baptism was administered to her. At the same time Mr. James A. Gore and Mrs. Hannah J. Beckley came before the Session and were recieved, on examination, into full communion of the Church. Mr. Gore, not being baptized, the ordinance was administered to him. Recieved at the same time by letter from the Cross Roads Church, Mrs. Mary A. Gore.

Session took recess until Sabbath morning when Mrs. Mary A. Seamen was recieved by letter from the Church of McConnelsville. Closed by prayer.

Session met and was constituted by prayer.

Members present were Rev. J. Kelly, Moderator, E. W. Daniels, J. A. Marquis, and Samuel Aikin, Elders.

Mr. David Winder, Mrs. Columbia Winder and Mrs. Jane Evans appeared before Session and were recieved into full communion on profession of their faith in Christ. Session took recess until to-morrow evening.

Members present as of yesterday.

Mr. Mathew Steen, Miss Elizabeth A. Marquis, Dr. C. Schreiber were recieved by examination into full communion of the Church.

Session took recess until to-morrow after service.

Members present as before. Dr. J. S. Black, Mrs. Orrila Black, and Mr. Joseph E. Marquis came before Session and were recieved into full communion on profession of their faith in Christ. Took recess until after service this evening.

Same members present. Miss Martha M. Marquis was recieved on examination, into full communion of the Church. Session took recess until Sabbath morning the 14th.

Members present were Rev. J. Kelly, Moderator, E. W. Daniels J. A. Marquis, and Samuel Aikin, Elders.

Miss Pheby J. Kizer and Miss Elizabeth A. Marquis came before Session and were recieved, on examination, into full communion with the Church. Mr. & Mrs. Winder, not being baptized, the ordinance was administered to them.

Took recess until Monday after service.

All members present as before. Mr. J. P. Gill, and Mr. Dunlap Wiley appeared before Session and were recieved onto full communion, on profession of their faith in Christ.

Mr. Wiley, not being baptized, the ordinance was administered to him.

Olive Church, August 28, 1869.

Session met and was opened by prayer.

Members present were Rev. W. J. McConkey, Moderator, J. A. Marquis, E. W. Daniels and S. Elders.

Recieved into full communion with the Church on profession of their faith in Christ, were Thomas Wiley, James Cain and Rose Anna Cain. At the same time by letter from the Church at Sanacaville was recieved, George A. Bell and Rachael Bell, his wife. Mr. and Mrs. Cain, not being baptized, the ordinance of Baptizm was administered to them on Sabbath morning.

Session took recess until Monday morning. Closed with prayer.
