Another Session Book Records continued.

Olive Church, Feb. 5, 1890.

Session met and was constituted by prayer. Members present were Daniels, Boggs and W. J. Marquis. J. A. Bower acted as Moderator. Mr. George Love Jr. was recieved into full membership in this Church on profession of faith. Session took recess until called by Moderator. J. A. Bower, Moderator and John M. Boggs, Elder.

Feb. 9th. Service morning and evening. Session closed with the closing prayer in the evening.

Examined thus far and approved by Presbytery in session at Cadiz, Ohio April 26, 1893 with the exception that there is no record of Presbyterial approval since 1889.

Olive Church, Mar. 21, 1891.

Session met and was opened by prayer. Members present were Rev. J. A. Bower, Moderator, J. B. Marquis, R. P. Marquis, E. W. Daniel, W. P. Marquis and J. M. Boggs, Elders.

The following persons appeared before Session and were recieved into full communion with this Church, on profession of their faith in Christ, Mrs. Catherine L. Marquis, Miss Alice A. Beckley, Miss Bertha B. Beckley, Miss Minnie V. Norwood and Miss Anna L. McFarland. Session took recess until Mar. 22.

Session met and was opened with prayer. Members present as above with the exception of J. M. Boggs and R. P. Marquis. Minutes were approved.

The following persons were recieved into full communion with this Church upon profession of their faith in Christ, Miss Lozzia D. Porter, Miss Mattie Morrison, Mrs. Lizzie M. Evans. Miss Alice A. Beckley, Miss Bertha B. Beckley, Miss Minnie V. Norwood, Miss Lizzie M. Evans, Mrs. Catherine Marquis and Miss Lozzia D. Porter, not being baptised, the ordinance of baptism was administered to them. Session took recess until evening. Session adjourned with the prayer at the close of service. J. M. Boggs, Clerk.

Olive Church, December, 1892.

Session met. Quorum being present, was opened by prayer by Moderator.

William Evans and Jane Evans, his wife and Jessie Evans were recieved by letter from the M. E. Church of Sharon, Ohio to membership. Session adjourned with prayer.

Session met with a quorum present and was opened with prayer. Mr. Wm. Long was recieved, by certificate from the United Presbyterian Church. Mary L. Long, his wife, was recieved upon profession of her faith. Adjourned with prayer.

Olive Presbyterian Church, March 11, 1894.

Session met. Having no Pastor, Mr. Daniels was elected Moderator. Members present were Daniels, Boggs, Booker Marquis, and Warren Marquis.

The following persons were recieved with the communion of this Church, on confession of their faith in Christ and were baptised, Otto Tedrick, Sadie Leota Beckley, Cora Alberta Marquis, Hannah E. Harmon, Anna Charlotte Schrieber and Mabel Maud McKee. Also the following on their confession of faith in Christ, having been previously baptised, Oclo Racy Boggs, Blanche Irene Boggs, Mrs. Mary E. Harmon, Frank Wiley Galt and John W. McFarland.

Communion of the Lord's Supper was administered by Rev. L. E. Keith of McConnelsville, Ohio. Services convened last Tuesday and still in progress. Session opened and closed by prayer. J. M. Boggs, Clerk.

Olive Presbyterian Church, Mar. 15, 1894.

Session met. Members present were Daniels, Boggs, Booker and Warren Marquis. Mr. Daniels was elected Moderator.

The following named persons were recieved into the Church upon confession of their faith in Christ, and baptism, Mr. Conrad Harmon. The following on confession of faith in Christ and having been previously baptised, Elizabeth Ann Tedrick and John Aiken Thompson.

Calvin McGlashan and wife Hannah and Mrs. Armanda Winter were dismissed to the Presbyterian Church of Caldwell. Meeting opened and closed with prayer. J. M. Boggs, Clerk.

Olive Church, Mar. 29, 1894.

According to announcement, a meeting was held to make a call for Rev. L. C. Keith. Rev. Morledge acted as Moderator. After reading the call a motion was made and seconded to make the call. A vote revealed the fact that the call was unanimous. Mr. Morrison was chosen to carry the call to Presbytery. The officers of the Church were authorized to sign the call in place of the people. Olive Church, Sept. 23, 1894.

Session met after service. Members present were John Boggs, Booker and Warren Marquis and James Gill. George Love Jr. having been elected and ordained to the Eldership met with us for the first time. Mr. George Love was elected to attend the next meeting of Presbytery at Morristown on the coming Tuesday. Session opened and closed with prayer. L. E. Keith, Moderator by invitation.

Olive Presbyterian Church, Dec. 3 1894.

Session met at the close of a week's meetings and recieved the following persons into the Church, on examination, and baptism, Bishop Alonzo Lowe, John Finley Huston, Mrs. Bishop Lowe, and Jessie Martha Steen. Also on confession, having been formerly baptised, Miss Nannie Marquis. And the following on certificate from the Sharon M. E. Church, John Ed. Marquis and wife and son G. E. Marquis. Members present were John Boggs, James Gill, George Love, Warren Marquis and Easton Daniel. Session opened and closed with prayer.

Session met and recieved Mrs. Matilda Sarah Gill by certificate from the M. E. Church of Sharon and also Clement Verner Gill, on examination and profession of faith in Christ. Boggs, Gill, Love and Warren Marquis Present. George Love was instructed to apply to Presbytery for aid to the amount of $100.00 to augment Rev. Keith's salary. Opened and closed as usual. L. E. Keith, Moderator. Geo. Love, Clerk.

Sharon Presbyterian Church, Sat. Oct. 5, 1895.

Session met and was opened with prayer by the Moderator, Rev. L. E. Keith. J. Boggs, Warren Marquis, James Gill and George Gill Jr. were present.

Mrs. Annie Archibald made a confession of her sinful conduct and asked for pardon, promising to walk more carefully hereafter. On motion she was continued as a member of this Church. Session remaining open, a recess was taken until to-morrow at 11 o'clock a. m.

The Sacrament of the Lord's Supper was administered by Rev. L. E. Keith. Session closed with prayer by Elder Warren Marquis. George Love, Clerk.

Sharon Presbyterian Church, Sunday, Nov. 10, 1895.

The Session met and was opened with prayer by Rev. Keith, Moderator. Elders J. Boggs, W. J. Marquis, James Gill and George Love Jr. were present.

Mrs. Bertha B. Norwood made a confession of her sinful conduct and expressed sorrow therefor. She desired to be continued as a member of this Church, promising to try to do better in the future. On motion she was continued as a member of the Church. This proceeding, to-gether with that in case of Mrs. Anna Archibald, were publically announced from the pulpit to-day. Session closed with prayer.

Sharon Presbyterian Church, Sunday, Jan. 19, 1896.

At the close of a series of meetings in this Church the sacrament of the Lord's Supper was observed. The Session opened with prayer by the Moderator, Rev. L. E. Keith. J. Boggs, W. J. Marquis, E. W. Daniels, James Gill and George Love Jr. were present.

The following persons were recieved to membership, on confession of faith in Christ and were baptised, John B. Wiley, Opal Mae Huston and B. R. Parrish.

Also the following were recieved, having previously been baptised, James B. Keyser, Elenor M. Boggs and Carrie M. Marquis. Mrs. Sarah Keith was recieved on profession of faith.

A. J. Lowe and Riley Parrish, both being members who have not been walking worthily, came before the Session and gave evidence of repentence and desired to begin anew the Christian life. They were restored to full communion. Session closed with prayer.

Sharon Presbyterian Church, Jan. 26, 1896.

Session opened with prayer. Rev. L. E. Keith, Moderator. Elders present were E. W. Daniel, J. M. Boggs, W. J. Marquis, James Gill and George Love Jr.

The following persons were recieved to membership on confession of faith in Christ, and were baptised, Albert B. Cain, Mrs. Amanda Cain, Edward Harmon and John N. Parrish and his wife and Nancy Luverna Parish, who had been previously baptised. Mr. David Selix was restored to membership after giving evidence of repentence and sorrow for sin and renewing his confession of faith. Session closed with prayer.

Sharon, Ohio, Aug. 19, 1896.

At a congregational meeting moderated by Rev. H. C. Morledge of Cumberland, Ohio, a call was made out for Mr. W. A. Atkinson, a licentiate of Washington, Pa. Presbytery and ordered presented before the Presbytery of St. Clairsville. Mr. George Love was chosen to represent the congregation. George Love, Clerk.

Oct. 1, 1896, 7 pm.

Rev. W. A. Atkinson having been ordained at Caldwell this afternoon at 2 o'clock, was installed Pastor of this Church. Dr. Milligan and Rev. Mr. Morledge taking part in the services. George Love, Clerk.

Sharon Presbyterian Church, Oct. 11, 1896.

The sacrement of the Lord's Supper was observed to-day. Rev. Wm. Atkinson our new pastor officiating. The Session was constituted by prayer. Rev. Atkinson being Moderator. Elders present were J. M. Boggs, E. W. Daniels, James Gill and George Love Jr.

Mrs. Alice E. McDonald Brown was recieved into this Church upon recommendation by letter from Bristol Presbyterian Church. On motion it was decided to take a Thank offering or collection at each regular preaching service. Session closed with prayer. George Love, Clerk.

Sharon, Ohio, Feb. 10-14, 1897.

Session convened at the call of the Moderator, Rev. W. A. Atkinson. Elders present were J. M. Boggs, W. J. Marquis, James Gill, and George Love.

Was opened with prayer. A series of meetings was in progress from Feb. 1st to the 14th, during which time the following persons were recieved into full membership, Mr. David C. Stewart having been previously baptised. The sacrament of baptism was administered upon Miss Mary Burlingame, and Miss Lizzie Cain. Mr. Howard Lowe was recieved on profession of faith and baptised. Miss Latitia Martin was recieved from the M. E. Church of Sharon. Mr. Isaac Parrish and Misses Anna, Alice and Belva Parriesh were recieved from the M. P. Church of South Olive. Sacrament of Lord's Supper was observed on Feb. 14th. Rev. C. S. Allensong assisted the Pastor in these special services. Session closed with prayer. Geo. Love Jr., Clerk.

Presbyterian Church, Sharon, Ohio Feb. 28, 1897.

Session convened at the call of the Moderator, Rev. W. A. Atkinson. Elders present were J. M. Boggs, W. J. Marquis, James Gill and George Love Jr. Mr. Edward Marquis (son of J. B.) was recieved into full communion with this Church upon profession of his faith in Christ, Opened and closed with prayer.

The Session met at the call of the Moderator, Rev. W. A. Atkinson. Elders present were John Boggs, W. J. Marquis and James Gill. Opened with prayer and the following business was transacted. A letter of dismission was granted to Otto Tidrick to M. E. Church of Morris, Ill., also a letter to Mrs. Nettie Bell Belford to Presbyterian Church of Marietta, Ohio. Closed with prayer.

A letter of dismissal was granted to Mrs. Henrietta Conn. Mr. W. J. Marquis was elected to attend Presbyter at Buffalo Church, Cumberland, Ohio, Sept. 28th and George Love Jr. alternate. Sharon Presbyterian Church, Feb. 6, 1898.

Rev. W. A. Atkinson, our Pastor, conducted a series of meetings, commencing Jan. 23 and closing Feb. 6th with the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper. The Session was constituted by prayer. The following Elders being present, John Boggs, W. Marquis, James Gill and George Love Jr.

The following named persons were recieved into membership on profession of their faith in Christ and were baptised, W. L. Walters, John Caldwell, Fred Marquis, John Trimble, Forrest Marquis, Thomas Ray, Alma Parish, Myrtle Marquis and Mable Marquis. Also Mr. Charles Harmon, who had been prevoiusly baptised. Mrs. Etta Parish was recieved on profession of faith having been prevoiusly baptised.

The report of Home Missions work was read and on motion of Mr. Boggs was approved and signed by the Clerk of Session. Session closed with prayer. George Love Jr., Clerk.

Sharon, Ohio, Mar. 13 1898.

A meeting of the Session was called by the Moderator, Rev. W. A. Atkinson with the following Elders being present, John Boggs, W. J. Marquis, James Gill and George Love Jr.

Mr. A. J. Lowe, whom common rumor had charged with excessive indulgence in intoxicating drinks, came before the Session and in a Christian and penitent spirit confessed his sins and desired by God's help to lead a life consistant with the vows already taken. Upon this hearty confession, the Session gladly welcomed him into new fellowship with them, and desired that this statement be publicly announced from the pulpit. Session opened and closed with prayer.

Mr. Frank Boggs appeared before Session and confessed that he had been guilty of excessive indulgence in intoxicating drinks. Mr. Boggs lamented his weakness in this respect very much and in a Christian and penitant spirit made these confessions. He desired, by God's help, to lead a life consistant with the vows already taken. Upon this evidence of true penitence, the Session gladly welcomed him into fellowship with them and a public statement of this was made. Session closed with prayer. George Love Jr., Clerk.

A series of meetings are in progress in which the Pastor is being assisted by Rev. Frank Fish of Claysville, Pa. During these meetings the following persons appeared before Session and on profession of faith were recieved into membership and were baptized, Miss Norma Briggs, Miss Myrtie Ferguson, Mr. Frank Long, Mrs. Mattie Lowe, Mr. Lewis Marquis, Miss Lura McKee, Mr. Roscoe McKee, Miss Elizabeth Ross and Miss Fannie Ross.
