Another Session Book Records continued.

Sharon, Ohio Feb. 11, 1900.

Session met and opened with prayer. During preparatory service, the following persons appeared before the Session and were recieved into membership on profession of faith, Mr. John A. Thompson, Mrs. Mattie Thompson, Mr. Frank Marquis, Samuel Ray Dudley and Edgar A. Love, all of which had been previously baptized.

At this service, all the twenty new members were publicly recieved into membership and those who had not been baptized, were baptized at this time. In the communion service to-day the Pastor was assisted by Rev. D. D. Bigger (D. D.?) Members of Session present were John Boggs, W. J. Marquis, James Gill and George Love. Closed with prayer. Session met and Elders present were Love, Boggs, Gill and Marquis.

Mr. John Marquis and Wife were recieved by letter from Sharon M. E. Church.

Sacrament of the Lord's Supper was administered by Rev. Atkinson.

Feb. 8, 1901.

Session met. Elders present were Boggs and Gill.

Miss Mae Gill and Mr. Albion Osborne and Wife appeared before the Session and, upon profession of faith were recieved in full membership of this Church.

Opened with prayer. Upon their own request, Mr. & Mrs. J. N. Parrish were granted letters of dismission from this Church. Closed with prayer. James Gill, Clerk.

Jan. 24, 1902.

During a series of meetings held from Jan. 12 to the 26th the following persons presented themselves and upon profession of their faith were recieved into this Church, Miss Ollie Baker, Miss Mariba Cain, Miss Belle Huston, Miss Olive Evans, Miss Leona Keyser, Miss Jessie Parrish, Mr. Edson Wiley and Elijah Marquis. All of these except Miss Baker and Mr. Wiley recieved the ordinance of Baptism at the communion service, Feb. 2nd. James Gill, Clerk.

At a congregational meeting held for the purpose of electing Elders, the following were elected and were to-day ordained and installed, Mr. John Huston, Mr. G. E. Marquis and Mr. B. R. Parrish. James Gill, Clerk.

Session convened at the call of the Moderator, Rev. W. A. Atkinson. Elders present were J. M. Gill, B. R. Parrish, J. Huston and G. E. Marquis.

Opened with prayer. Letters of dismission were granted to Mrs. Alice Brown and Miss Beulah Brown to the Presbyterian Church of Granville, Ohio. Also letters were granted to Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Marquis to Presbyterian Church of Beverly, Ohio. Meeting closed with prayer. James Gill, Clerk.

Session met at the call of the Moderator, Rev. W. A. Atkinson. Elders present were J. Gill, G. E. Marquis, J. Huston and B. R. Parrish.

Opened with prayer. The following persons presented themselves and made profession of their faith in Jesus Christ and were recieved into this Church, Mr. Chas. Stewart, Mr. Frank Steen, Mr. Frank Jennings and Mr. Herbert Huston. All recieved the ordinance of Baptism except Chas. Stewart, having been previously been baptised. Closed with prayer. Communion observed to-day. Mrs. Charity Caldwell and Miss Phoebe Cain recieved sacrament of baptism and they together with Miss Cora Marquis were publicly recieved.

At the end of the session book the following page was found:

An agreement made and concluded this 18th day of June, A. D. 1881. By and between W. Burlingame & Son of Noble County, Ohio of the first part and the Building committee of the Presbyterian Church of Sharon and County and State aforesaid of the second part. Witnesseth, that whereas the said party of the first part agrees to build a Church House of the following dimensions. Viz. house to be 36 x 48 feet including vestibule. Vestibule to be 8 x 36 feet. House to be 16 ft. high between floor and ceiling and House to have 12, twelve light windows and one in gable end, glass to be 10 x 24 in. House to have a slate roof of good material. House to be weatherboarded with lapped weatherboarding of good yellow poplar. House to have one double door in front 5 x 7 ft. and two single doors inside of vestibule 2' 10 in x 6' 10 in. House to have a sufficient number of seats to fill the house. House to have these seats to be pine. The party of the first part agrees to use the best material and the work to be done in a workmanshiplike manner.
